Writing meme

I have not done a writing meme in aaaages. Let's do something to fix this!

1. Give me the name of a character you know I'm familiar with. I don't necessarily have to know their canon if you know I've roleplayed with them before.

2. Give me a number between 1 and 10.

3. Give me an emotion or a verb.

Do this and I will write you something based on that character. Nothing very long - in fact, the number you give me will determine how long it is. I also can't vouch for quality of characterization if I'm not familiar with the canon. But that's not the point.

The point is to give me a challenge. :3

The results on this latest experiment were promising - so much so that it was tempting to proceed straight to the next step without any reprieve for the subjects involved. If it had just been Specimen Z, Hojo would have done just that, knowing that that particular sample was hardy enough to withstand the added stress. Unfortunately, Specimen C was also involved, a specimen so pathetic that it was a miracle he'd even survived life in the infantry before. There had to be something deeper to him, though, or he never would have been able to take down Sephiroth, Hojo's greatest creation so far.

If only there was a way to duplicate the exact circumstances involved...

Suddenly Hojo's lips curled up as it struck him exactly what needed to be done. "Yes, yes, I see it now - I cannot recreate the conditions unless I recreate Sephiroth! You!"

He jabbed a finger at Specimen Z, hardly caring that the creature's eyes had slitted open and was staring at him with undiluted hate.

"You will help me go beyond the powers of science! You'll be the next Sephiroth!"
