Writing meme

I have not done a writing meme in aaaages. Let's do something to fix this!

1. Give me the name of a character you know I'm familiar with. I don't necessarily have to know their canon if you know I've roleplayed with them before.

2. Give me a number between 1 and 10.

3. Give me an emotion or a verb.

Do this and I will write you something based on that character. Nothing very long - in fact, the number you give me will determine how long it is. I also can't vouch for quality of characterization if I'm not familiar with the canon. But that's not the point.

The point is to give me a challenge. :3

"Alright, rookie, listen up!" Cid barked at his newest recruit. "If you goddamn well want to be pilot on my ship, there's two things you need to know. The first thing is that I'm the goddamn captain and my word is law.
